I was trying to get back to my Happy Place when I sought out Leigh-Leigh for life coaching. I had been struggling with a manager who was not a nice person and I was trying to figure out how to handle this person’s moods. I was also putting everyone before me and I was getting tired and felt old. The most surprising and transformative part of my experience with Leigh-Leigh was realizing that the unhappiness I was feeling in my workplace was not caused by me. That, given the right tools, I was able to keep my personal emotions out of situations with a “not so nice” person.

I learned what my strengths are and I was able to implement them in my personal and professional life. One of my strengths is bravery, and I was able to apply that strength in a work situation that resulted in my being heard. My personal life is a lot calmer now than it was pre-Leigh-Leigh. In the past, when an emotional or tense situation would arise, I would yell and throw a baby fit. Now, I take a deep breath, think about it, and handle it in a more mature manner. I have learned not to stoop to another person’s level. (My phone thanks you, Leigh-Leigh! But, I don’t really throw it, LOL!) I have a lot of negative people around me; and I have learned, when I encounter them, to make sure my conversations are very positive. I try to calm them down, and hopefully, help them look at the positive stuff in that situation.

Now I have clarity about why I felt unhappy all the time. Leigh-Leigh helped me realize that for me to be there for others, which is how I’m wired, I need to be there for myself first. I have always put everyone else’s needs before my own, and seeing that I need to make time for myself was hard for me. In the past month, I have made some decisions where I put myself first, and I found out that it was ok! The people who normally would’ve been first didn’t even notice that I wasn’t there every second, telling them or guiding them as to what WE need to do, etc. My family does see a happier and less stressed mom/wife. I know I have a long way to go, and there have been relapses, but I can say, there haven’t been many. I have learned, it’s ok for me to do something for myself.

One of the things we worked on was cultivating positive thoughts and emotions. Leigh-Leigh shared about a great book she’d read, “The Power of Positive Thinking,” by Norman Vincent Peale. I ordered it and am looking forward to reading it. I’m doing my best implementing positive thinking on my own, but additional resources will only help. I am also getting excited to do my first vision board! Most importantly, I am still learning how to deal with unpleasant or emotional situations with others; but again, the tools, the Ah-ha moments from our sessions, and praying with and receiving prayers from Leigh-Leigh will be a win-win situation for me. I may have to decide to look for another job, but Leigh-Leigh has helped me realize my passions and those passions could be a career move or perhaps moving into volunteer work.

As a coach Leigh-Leigh is: AWESOME, REAL, TRUTHFUL, KIND, COMPASSIONATE, KNOWS HER STUFF, SAVED ME, and most importantly an ANGEL IN DISGUISE.

Leigh-Leigh and I met in life coaching school. I asked her for coaching/accountability help because I wanted to complete the homework necessary to receive my coaching certification, as she had done. Also, I wanted to create a website for my own coaching business and needed a push.

One of the most transformative parts of working with Leigh-Leigh was that she reminded me of how far I’ve come and how accomplished I am. She encouraged me to stop beating myself up with negative self-talk. During our work together, and since, I’ve been able to stop and listen to the words I think and say; to remember my own special, personal strengths; and to plug into them, using them as often as possible. It’s so empowering to have clarity about how I feel about myself and how I treat myself. It has made me stronger in business and in my life/personal relationships by creating boundaries that work for me.

The next thing is to keep going, knowing that I can do whatever I want and will finish what I started, because I have done just that in the past and thrived! I’m building my own coaching business and I know it will be amazing!

Leigh-Leigh is patient, caring and honest. She is a great listener!

When I first reached out to Leigh-Leigh, I was struggling with and felt anxious about not having confidence to speak in front of groups of any size. We worked to identify my top character strengths and I was surprised to learn that one of my main strengths is social intelligence. Up until now, I had always looked at that (in the form of people pleasing) as a weakness. It's all about knowing and applying your strengths in everyday life and using them to work towards your goals. Also, it was so useful to learn how to quiet the negative voice (Satan) in my head, who tells me to be nervous, anxious, or that I can't/shouldn't do something.

Because of our work together, I've noticed there is less anxiety leading up to group meetings/social gatherings. I'm actually looking forward to them! I no longer feel the need to tell people "I'm nervous" about something, hoping to get out of it. I've learned tools to keep myself positive and focused on my goals, short term and long term. I now have more clarity about confidence. I feel more prepared for situations where I need to speak in group settings and I experience less negative-self-talk leading up to it. I look forward to meeting my goals and know how I can achieve them. The work I did with Leigh-Leigh is helping me work towards gaining more knowledge in my field so that I can have confidence when speaking with clients and team members. I'm hoping this will eventually help me to advance in my career, which will in turn, lead me on the path towards achieving my future goals for myself and my family.

Leigh-Leigh's positive energy is contagious! She asks the right questions to meet you right where you are and provides space for you to feel comfortable opening up and being honest with yourself. I looked forward to and enjoyed each of our classes and the assignments that went along with coaching. I had many ah-ha moments during this and she opened my eyes to how I view myself and my strengths, which has improved my self-talk and confidence. She truly lives out what she teaches and is someone I look to as a role model in my life. I know that there is always something more I can work on in myself and it's a good feeling to know that when I'm ready I have someone in my corner, prepared to help!

When I started coaching with Leigh-Leigh, I was feeling overwhelmed with so many responsibilities. I was feeling like I wasn’t doing anything very well--just enough to get by with my parenting, work, friendships, etc. What was most surprising to me was that she helped me see that I don’t have to try to fix everything at once. Even making one or two small changes can really make a big impact. I have definitely been able to make some positive changes as a result of our working together. I’m putting less pressure on myself to be “perfect.” I’ve been setting aside dedicated, individual time with each of my children. This has felt “freeing” to me!

It has helped me be more creative with work, my kids, and my significant other. And it has helped improve my relationships all around.

Coaching with Leigh-Leigh was something to look forward to! Coaching was an eye-opening experience. I really enjoyed the exercises and they helped me recognize strengths that I forgot I had. And that there are things I can do to move past my past into a brighter future. As a coach, she is encouraging, helpful, and challenging. She asked good questions that made me think and got me out of my comfort zone. Each session, she followed up on the previous week’s assignments and held me accountable for things I was supposed to do. Leigh-Leigh’s personality is energetic, supportive, loving, and genuine--all things that make her a great coach!

I absolutely loved working with Leigh-Leigh. I had been really struggling with my confidence in starting my business. Leigh-Leigh held space for me and allowed me to vocalize every limiting belief I had surrounding my lack of confidence. She then followed with a series of questions that really made me think. The ultimate aha! moment I had was when she challenged me to think about a specific time in my life I faced similar confidence issues. How did I attack it and what did it look like on the other side? That was all I needed and I was on my way!

Leigh-Leigh not only coached me with technique but she coached me with her heart. She genuinely cared about the issues I was having and wanted to walk alongside me to overcome my obstacles. I would recommend Leigh-Leigh to anyone who is looking to be coached and is ready to take action. She is a true professional with a huge heart!

Leigh-Leigh helped me realize I don't have to stay in a toxic work environment. I need to do what is best for me and give myself grace. She helped me see that a positive mindset can change your life!
